In 2015, the CDCCC was given permission to host its first public classic car show, to celebrate the club's 20th anniversary. This has become an annual event and a key part of our fundraising for our chosen charity. The location in Ely on a Saturday means that there is a great engagemnet with the general public who love to see the cars that they remember from thier family history. It is a popular event that is often over subscribed so keep an eye on our website for our 2022 date and application details to join us.
The first show was held on the Palace Green, just over the road from the west door of Ely Cathedral, right in the heart of the city. We had such a great response from our members, guests and the public that it came an annual event at this location. In 2020 we were forced to cancel the show due to COVID restrictions and in 2021 even though we put on a show we had to reduce numbers to allow social distancing. Even so we had 67 cars in total were present on the Palace Green and it was a success again..
