JanWed 11 | Club Night - Bring and Buy Charity Auction Bring and Buy Auction. Arrive 7.30 for 8 pm prompt start. Search through your garage and home for unwanted items and bring them along to sell to raise money for the charity 'The Singing Cafe'. Let's help those suffering from Dementia and Alzheimer's. |
FebWed 8 | Club Night - Line Dancing with Rod and Betty George Line Dancing! Time to don the cowboy hat and boots and join us for a great laugh as Rod and Betty try to show us how to Line Dance. Should be a real hoot! Yeehaa! Hot Dogs available at £4 a head. First come, first served. |
MarWed 8 | Speaker - Philip James Cambridge Car Club We have invited Philip James to join us from the Cambridge Car Club to talk about the club and their history. |
AprWed 12 | Club Night - AGM and Buffet Annual General Meeting. Come along and find out what's happening with your club. Time to elect a new committee for 2017. We plan to organise some light refreshments. |
AprSun 23 | Drive It Day The plan is to head off to Colne Valley Railway via a scenic drive through Essex. They have an event on all day, although we might arrive too late to get the best spot! Hopefully we can squeeze in somewhere. Fingers crossed for good weather. You can make your own way there, or meet at 9.30 am at St Ives Golf Club, or meet at 10.30 am at Waitrose Car Park, Trumpington. |
MayWed 10 | Club Night - Come Ride with Me Always a highly popular event. Your chance to take others out for a short drive in your car or experience what it's like in another members pride and joy. Arrive early to ensure we get it in before dark. |
MaySun 21 | Burwell Museum We've booked 12 FREE parking spots. Let us know if you want to come!!!! Each driver is permitted to bring one passenger to the event at no cost. Additional passengers will be asked to pay entry to the show. We ask that drivers come to the museum via Newmarket Rd between 9.15 and 10.30am to park safely. Departure will be from around 4.15pm or whenever the majority of visitors begin to leave the site On arrival each driver will be given a pack with a map of the site, a voucher for our tea room allowing the driver and passenger a free tea/coffee and piece of cake. You'll also be asked to complete a 'car description sheet' giving a little bit of background to your vehicle and the technical spec. We hope to offer a BBQ on the day so please bring some cash with you to enjoy a burger or hot dog whilst listening to some brilliant vintage tunes! |

JunThu 15 | Rod and Betty's Midweek Run TBC Mid Week Run - Thursday 15th June Meet at Huntingdon Garden Centre (Huntingdon Road) no later than 10.30. The drive is approximately 50 miles through country lanes and finishes at the Shuttleworth Air Museum Old Warden, where, if you wish, you can get a meal. We have also been given permission to drive through the agricultural college grounds which should give a nice end to the drive. We need to have an ideal of numbers, please let us know if you are coming by contacting us directly or adding your name to the list at the next club meeting. JulSun 9 | Kimbolton Charity Classic The club has once again decided to attend the Classic Car Show at Kimbolton after a break. We have booked 30 spaces so need you to sign up as we will be taking the shelter. Loads of stalls and entertainment throughout the day. |

The drive is approximately 50 miles through country lanes and finishes at the The Red Lion Finchingfield, where, if you wish, you can get a meal. AugWed 9 | Club Night - Car Park Concours Arrive early around 7.00 and display your pride and joy. Members vote for their favourite. Who will take away the shield in 2017? Get polishing! |
AugSat 12 | Ely Cathedral This is our third gathering at Ely Cathedral. Let's make this the best yet. Brian Woodhams is co-ordinating this year so please contact him for booking. Could members let him know asap if you are able to come as we have limited places. We intend to offer any spare places to other clubs. |
AugSun 27 | Little Gransden Air and Car Show We will again be trying to book space for 10 cars at this increasingly popular event. Let us know asap if you want to join us by booking with David asap as spaces go quickly. We will require a £10 entrance fee to cover the car, driver and one passenger, with further passengers paying £10 per adult and £5 per child, from all vehicle owners, prepaid. This goes towards the cost of staging the show and to the 2017 Children in Need Appeal. |
SepSat 2 | A Classic Affair by QBCC Last year, “A Classic Affair” was a very successful day with around 60-70 cars and hundreds of visitors. By popular demand, QBCC will be running it again this year on Saturday 2nd September in Hemingford Grey, very close to St Ives. Small charge for charity. The evening ends with a drive-in movie. This year they are showing the 1970's classic "The Gumball Rally". |

SepSat 16 | Gamlingay Village Show A lovely relaxed small village gathering of classics. Really enjoyable if you want a gentle drive and day out. |

NovWed 8 | Club Night - Guy Lachlan "Classic Oils for Classic Cars" Guy is a recent member of CDCCC . He runs a business selling oils and other lubricants especially tailored to classic vehicles, and will talk about how to choose the right, identify it, and why correct lubrication is essential. |
DecFri 15 | Christmas Dinner, 7.30pm CDCCC Christmas Dinner tickets now available, at the St Ives (Hunts) Golf Club, open to all members, partners, friends, prospective members and fellow enthusiasts of classic cars and classic motoring. Menu choices at £22.50 for 2 courses and £27.50 for 3 courses, a raffle in aid of the East Anglian Air Ambulance and some light hearted entertainment (best Christmas outfit and the Chairman's Challenge!), as well as a great opportunity to meet the other members, review 2017 and think about 2018. JunSat 17 | Car show at Wymondham College, Norfolk. There will be a wide variety of vehicles there, ranging from modern American muscle, European supercars and hopefully some classic cars. JulSat 15 JulFri 14 | Summer Fete, Red House Care Home, Ramsey The Red House care home in Ramsey, Cambridgeshire are putting on a summer fete with an aim to raise money for the residents for special outings and fun things to do to improve their lives. Each year we look to have something nice there of interest to the residents and visitors. This year I am hoping to have some classic cars or motorcycles attend as we have a couple of residents who were classic car owners themselves. Would any of your members would like to bring their classic cars down to show off and let people look round for a couple of hours. The fete is on Saturday 15th July from 2:30pm - 4:30pm.
